Adrian began his conducting studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, first with Alan Hazeldine and then with Sian Edwards. During this time he conducted numerous concerts and operas (including Walton’s The Bear and Donizetti’s Rita), as well as directing vocal ensemble classes for undergraduate singers and choirs for instrumental students.

Since leaving the Guildhall he has worked more widely as conductor and coach on aspects of historically-informed performance and period style; this has ranged from workshops on masterpieces of Baroque choral music with adult amateur singers to vocal ensemble masterclasses with students at the Moscow Conservatory.
